The Haht Mess Sandwich - It's a mess...get a plate.


This is a sandwich we made at our restaurant. People loved it because it was messy and delicious.

Use a fresh Brioche Bun. Cut in half.

  • Make grilled, baked, or breaded chicken cutlet. Cut in half

  • Make a garlic aoli: 1 cup Mayo, 1 tbs chopped garlic, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper. Put to the side.

  • Shred 2 cups purple cabbage

  • Chop 5 banana pepper rings

  • Chop 1/4 of a green apple

  • Toss the cabbage, banana pepper rings and green apple together with coleslaw dressing to coat. Use the amount you like - we use a 1/4 to a 1/2 cup, depending upon the kind of dressing. (We LOVE Marzetti's Colesslaw dressing and use it on this sandwich)

  • START BUILDING

  • Spread garlic aoli on the top and bottom of the bread

  • Toss chicken in Chipotle Papaya Haht Sahs to cover, place on bottom of the bun

  • Add a handful of the mixed slaw on top of the chicken

  • Cover with the top of the bun

  • This is a simple sandwich but so good!

  • Take a HUGE BITE, and grab a napkin or use your sleeve.
